Well I don't know what region of the country you live in. I replace my pea plants with green beans. It works out well since pea plants love the cooler weather of spring and the green bean plants love the warmer and sunnier weather. They taste great too!

If your peas have been growing on a trellis you really could replace with any vegie that also will grow on a trellis and likes the area. Try yellow squash, cucumber, zucchini or any type of vegie that gets really viney. Growing this way would be a great space saver.

Consult your local gardening shop to determine what plants grow best in your area. I can't give you a recommendation without knowing the size of the area involved, what kind of light and water, what kind of soil, and other factors. Sorry I really don't want to guess.
