What can I do with a pitbull that has bad gas?

Although larger dogs are rather prone to gas problems, there are some things we can do to help. Usually a change in the diet works well. There are plenty of dog foods that will reduce the amount of gas your dog is experiencing. You may have to ask the vet to recommend a specific food.

If you are feeding your dog anything other than his dog food stop it right now. Table scraps cause dogs to have gas, vomit and have slightly wet stool or diarrhea. However, your dog still may have gas from time to time which is completely normal and is something you will have to deal with.

First you could start with diet if its older than it may need a diet change. Also it could have some type of condition causing it to be gassy. Most likely this problem is stemming from what it eats though.

Any dog with gas has an issue with their food. Try another brand and see if it helps with the gas. If not, ask your vet to run tests for something more serious.

In order to stop your pitbull from being so gassy, change its diet. Try a brand of dog food that has a higher raw protein content, such as Evo.

I owned a Staffordshire Terrier and she had really bad gas as well!! I ended up changing her food to Beneful and it wasnt so bad!! I took her out often also just because i didnt want to end up cleaning up the pooh! I kept a candle going so that it would mask the smell too!
