Take a thin flexible rod which is lesser than the diameter of the pipe and wind tightly with a wet cloth in one end - little more than the pipe size. Push the cloth end through the pipe from outside the sink till it reaches some distance. Then pull the rod back towards you. Entire choking material will come out.
