What can I do for my lost libido?

I'm in menopause, but I can't take hormones or things that mimic hormones.

Lost libido usually stems from large fluctuations in bodily energy which can be stabilized and boosted by taking herbs such as ginseng root. Avoiding larger meals by "grazing" on small things like dried fruits and nuts between meals will also help stabilize energy levels.

Try going to a sex therapist, either by yourself, or with your lover. Sex therapists are great at bringing back lost libido from menopause among other things. They will go over a range of things with you including things that turn you on and off and show you ways to put them into play in exciting new ways!

If you can't take hormones, then exercise (especially weight lifting) has been shown to increase libido in women, even during and after menopause. Counseling may also help.
