What can I do for a stuck spool pin?

There are many ways you can fix a stuck stool pin. One thing that you can do is to try to use your nail and push the pin from out of the spool. You can also try to pull the pin out with a pair of pliers which is one of the easier ways without getting hurt.

The spool pin is a very simple piece of equipment. Its just a long metal rod with two small spokes at the end that allow the gear to turn the pin. It it gets stuck then thread has gotten wrapped around the pin. You will need to open up the compartment and remove this thread.

There are several ways to remove the stuck stool pin. You can try to remove the pin with your hand or your fingernails however you will run a risk of sticking yourself. The safest way to do this is to you are pliers and remove the pin that way which is a easier solution.

It needs to be pushed out, or maybe drilled out- there's information online to do this with a Singer, and I have found that what works with a Singer works will all machines. You can do this yourself- I don't have the room to tell you here, but it's a known issue, you can google it and get a walkthrough.
