What can I do for a puppy that has blood in his stool?

The dog can have an intestinal infection and a vet should be consulted since medication is almost always necessary to properly treat the infection so that it does not become fatal.

You take your dog to the vet. It could be a sign that he cut open his stomach lining and could be dying. Or your puppy has Parvo and might die. When ever you see blood in the stool you take the dog to the vet immediately. Wouldn't you take yourself to the doctor if you had blood in yours?

Your puppy will probably need a parvo shot very soon and you will need to take the puppy to see the veterinarian. You may also need to provide your puppy will booster shoots as well.
