What can I do about water not freezing in my icemaker?

Replaced the solonoid and the water switches then manually advanced the drive gear, all per instructions from the factory. After is is the way to froze ice in your icemakerabout 1/4 turn the unit engaged and advanced and some water filled the trays about 1/3 to 1/2 full. th

First thing that you can do is Clean the ice maker. Next you can look at the fridge and there should be a switch that was a dial, Usually one to ten. Depending on what your freezer says, you might want to set that to a COLDER temp. Make sure you door isn't leaking cool air either..

Your freezer probably just isn't cold enough. Somewhere inside your refrigerator, usually along the top of the refrigeration part (as opposed to the freezer) there are dials for setting the temperature of the fridge and freezer. Turn the freezer to a colder setting and that should take care of it.

i would check the thermostat setting. does the freezer or ice maker have a separate thermostat from the refridgerator? if it does i would see if its gotten turned where it is not cold enough to freeze the ice. If its all on one thermostat check the main one it might have to be turned up especially during the summer.
