Excessive burping can be caused by eating gassy foods or mal-absorption of nutrients. If you're otherwise healthy, you may simply be swallowing too much air. Try breathing through your nose, and eating more slowly. Also avoid talking while eating or drinking. A change in diet may also be needed.

Constant burping can be a sign of other problems in your stomach. Particularly it can indicate that something you are eating is releasing gas, which can be the case in many food intolerances. It can also be indicative of ulcers. If you do not think you have ulcers, try an elimination diet to see if food is causing it.

There are plenty of anti-gas pills that you can take to cut down on the burping. A more natural approach, however, would be to look at what you're eating and try to figure out which foods are leading to gas.
