Teeth may separate if there is room in your mouth. You want to consult your dentist to get to the bottom of this problem. Also, you need to wear your retainer if you have one. Or, it may be good for you to get your teeth bonded together.

If you are also feeling pain in your gums or your gums have been bleeding lately, it could be because of gum disease/ periodontal disease.

If you have had extractions your teeth may drift, age is the main factor in teeth movement as the size and shape of your jaw will grow and shrink as you go from a child to adult and then as you start to become elderly, Orthodontics and fixed retainers are the only solution.

Teeth can separate if you are missing any teeth and your teeth are adjusting to the situation. If you are a teenager then your teeth are separating because you are growing. Have your teeth evaluated by your dentist. If needed your dentist will send you to an orthodontist.

Usually whenever any tooth gets pulled away the teeth drift towards the place to fill the space, thereby the teeth could be separated.
