You could have some form of gum disease that is causing those white spots. Or, you are not stimulating the gums enough when you are brushing your teeth.

White spots on gums can be for varied reasons. Fordyce's granules are whitish yellow spots seen on mucosa of the cheeks. Oral candiasis, leukoplakia also presents with white spots inside the mouth. It could be due to any drug allergy. If any denture is present, irritation of it can lead to white scars on the gums.

Usually that is the sign of having a yeast infection. And, yes you can get an yeast infection in your mouth. When babies get it the pediatricians call it the Thrash.

A yeast infection in the mouth can cause white dots to appear, as can some strands of oral herpes. It's best to get checked out by a dentist or a doctor if they are painful and frequent. Another thing it could be is a mouth ulcer.
