Generally, a greenish discharge is the sign of infection. It can be caused by any number of things, from a virus to a bacteria and can be the sign of a greater problem. Herpes is caused by a virus, either Simplex 1 or Simplex 2. A green discharge and herpes are not necessarily related.

Having a greensih color discharge is not normal. You should be seen by a physician as soon as possible for testing.
