Upper Deck cards have been the brand of excellence for years. This includes not only baseball, but football, hockey, and especially football cards. They create the most interesting limited edition sets and, personally, I believe they smell the best.

Topps baseball card packs are the best brand to purchase. They were one of the original manufacturers of cards and continue to be the best.

All cards have value, it is just a matter of what you like the best, and what cards you're trying to collect. Topps has made cards for a very long time, their cards seem to hold value very well.

Topps generally has the best players and their sets have been in existence since 1952. Bowman, Fleer, Upper Deck and Donruss have all made sets that are very collectible.
