Edges are the line segments that form the outline of a shape. Vertices are the points at which edges (line segments facing in different directions) meet. The face is in the plane of all of the edges of the shape; it is the area enclosed by all of the shape's edges.

The faces of a shape are the plane elements that limit it. For a cube, it would be 6 squares. The edges are the borders of the faces, and the vertices are points where at least 2 edges meet.

These three terms are used to describe the different parts of a three-dimensional object. Faces are the flat parts of the object (like the top or sides of a box.) The edges are the straight lines where the faces meet, and vertices are points (corners) where the edges meet.
