Vet fees can vary across the US. For just the checkup it's usually about $40-$50, but then everything else is extra; the shots, any blood work, even clipping their nails sometimes. It's rare that I leave the vet without spending $100 per cat.

That all depends on where you live and what level of care your animal receives. Call a few different veterinarians and ask them for prices on standard procedures. You might want to visit some of the clinics to see if you're comfortable with them. Your pet will pick up a lot from your behavior.

I usually pay my vet a minimum of $70 per visit. I believe that a;; quality vets charge high prices. While it seems expensive, it is important for all pets to get proper care.
