There are hundreds of lightweight laptops on the market. If you are not worried too much about performance and care only for weight, try searching for "netbooks".

If I were to buy an ultaportable laptop nowadays I would by a dell mini. They are small and very light weight. They come with a solid state harddrive which means to moving parts in the drive to break. It also makes it fast. Another option would the mac book pro, but they are expensive.

Might want to check out netbooks, which are a cross between laptops and cell phones and are popular right now. These can be a couple hundred bucks at a retailer.
