What are the symptoms of pneumonia?

I have been diagnosed with the flu and was told to watch for symptoms of pneumonia.

Coughing (mucus may appear greenish, yellow or even bloody). Fever, shaking chills, shortness of breath, sharp or stabbing chest pains, headache, excessive sweating or clammy skin, loss of appetite, low energy and fatigue. Confusion may also be a tell-tale sign although this is most likely to appear in older people.

A productive cough can signal that pneumonia has set in this is the main differentiators between pneumonia and bronchitis. A temp will usually follow with a general feeling of malaise. Depending on cause it could be a primary or secondary infection caused by bacteria, virus, or even fungal. ake sure to drink plenty of fluids.

Symptoms of pneumonia often start out as a cold followed by high fevers, chills, and coughing accompanied by a heavy and discolored or bloody mucus. Other symptoms include headaches, muscle aches and chest pain.

Symptoms usually look like a cold at first followed by high fever cough headaches body aches, coughing up phlegm sometimes skin turns bluish color due to loss of oxygenation in the blood
