In the initial stage of the disease the symptoms are very similar to those of flu such as fever, sweating, headache and general body ache. Later on there is general weakness and lethargy. There may be frequent infections. abnormal bruising, weight loss and bleeding from the nose. Swelling in the armpit or neck may also be present.

Typical symptoms are fever, weakness, frequent infection, easy bruising, paleness, bone or joint pain, red papules on the surface of the skin. But the deciding factor would be the abnormal blood cell count which can verify this disease.
