The steps to getting a green card by marriage would be that you have to be in the United States for about 10 years. then be able to prove your work history. And atleast be with your partner for 2 years.

A Green Card, gives a forgien borm permanen resident priviliges in the USA.THey are allowed to live work and marry here. To get a green card you can just marry a US citizen but you must apply to the US immigration serviice. You can do that by getting an application on line or going to a local immigration office.
