What are the standard ordnance survey map symbols?

Answer by  Supersadie (363)

Ordnance Survey is the official mapping organisation for Great Britain. The symbols show geographic features and are consistent. There is always a key, but you soon remember them. A square with a cross on top, for example, will be a church with a tower, while a circle with a cross on top will be a church with a spire.
