4 stages. Brain cancer is not curable. Chemotherapy does not reach the brain because of the protective covering on the brain. Only radiation is used to slow the growth and only so much radiation can be given or you would kill the brain before you kill the cancer.

There are 4 stages of cancer with stage 4 being end of life stage. Brain cancer tends to be more aggressive as the brain also controls the other organs and tells them to function. When the brain is comprimised, then so are the other body's functions.
