The side effects may include the burning of the skin. It also may be including the itching of some major skin areas. You can also expect some kind of head aches to occur.

The side effects is that you may experience some headaches. You may experience some loss of hair and you also may experience a loss of appetite and feelings of depression.

You should talk to your radiation oncologist. But some side effects can be radiation colitis, which can present with diarrhea, blood in the stool or pain on defection. There is also potential side effect to skin break down, incontinence, and impotence. Each treatment modality has side effects, and you need to weigh them before deciding.

Contrary to popular belief, radiation treatments do not make your hair fall out, nor do they make you sick. Chemotherapy does that. The biggest danger in receiving radiation treatments is radiation burns or sterility. Radiation burns look like a sunburn that never goes away.
