Methods to chemically straighten hair are very successful and completely satisfy most users. Because the change is permanent until hair grows out or is cut, users don't have to endure lengthy sessions with hair irons or temporary relaxers. However, the chemicals are harsh, and require ongoing care and conditioning. Also, there are reports of temporary hair loss.

Pros: Not having to damage your hair from straightening it every day. Cons: Putting chemicals in your hair and on your head and it will dry out your hair.
