The primary colors are red, yellow and blue. The secondary colors that can be mixed from the primary colors are orange, purple/violet and green. The colors then extend into tertiary shades as well, made by mixing secondary and primary shades together. For example, indigo out of blue + violet, or chartreuse out of yellow + green.
