Depending on the color of the oak, you have quite a few options. For a lghter oak, I would go with a darker tan, this will help the trim stand out. If the trim is of a darker oak though, a maroon or burgandy would look lovely, and accenting with forest green throw pillows will work wonders for your interior.

Use a yellowish beige, as opposed to a beige with gray tones, to match the warmth of oak. This neutral background will then allow you to use accent colors in fabrics for drapes, rugs and pillows that you can change as the seasons change.

This depends upon the color of oak and whether it has been stained or not. For the most part, if the trim is a lightly colored or white oak a cream color may be appropriate. If the oak trim is darker a more bold color may give the room an interesting contrast. The selection of color is often highly individual.

The majority of any neutral beiges will go with an oak trim, There seriously tons of these to choose from as well, another good combination would be a dark green IF you have a large open room, other wise it will just look to dark.

Lite grey, ecru, shades of tan or light brown. I have oak floors and really I don't pick out paint to match the floors. I pick what I like and it usually makes me happy.

White goes with it very well. Make sure you sand that cruddy looking oak, then paint it white so it looks like your house was buillt after WWII.

You could do virtually any color that you wanted. Oak goes with pretty much everything. The one thing Oak trim is good for is that you can use darker colors and it looks really sharp, unlike dark walls on dark trim. Darker colors will make the trim pop while it goes well with lighter colors and will blend together.
