That depends which spec you choose. If you're holy, your most important spells would be Renew, Flash Heal and Circle of Healing. If you're shadow, almost all of your main rotation spells are important. Your DoTs, Devouring Plague & Shadow Word: Pain, Mind Blast, Mind Flay and Vampiric Embrace are at the top.

A priest in World of warcraft is not meant completely for combat. A priest most of the time needs a worrier because of low armor and does not inflict much damage. So the best spell for a priest would be Circle of Healing. This is a healing spell that heals the the party/raid member that has taken the most damage.

The most important spells to have for this character are intellect, spirit, spellpower, stamina, and spell crit. The priests' main job is to heal the party.

It depends on if you're a healer or a shadow priest. If you're a shadow priest, there's a mod called face melter that helps with which spells to cast and when, as well as mind flay clipper to get the best out of mind flay. There's a forum just for shadow priests which is easy to find.

It depends of what you wanna do with your priest. If you wanna heal in raids.(5 to 10 man) just go disc/holy. If you wanna heal in bigger raids like a 25 man : you'll need to be holy/disc instead. It really depends of your play style and role you'll have to do.
