The Disney characters that appear on the most merchandise are the ones that were created first, such as Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Minnie. The ones most seen in America are the ones that are from current movies, such as Wall E and Woody and Buzz from the movie Toy Story 3.

The Fab Five are Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. Over the years, the most popular and marketed characters have been the Winnie the Pooh franchise (especially Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore), Tinkerbell from Peter Pan, various princesses, and Stitch. The villains also have quite a following- evil queens and stepmothers, Cpt. Hook, Ursula, etc.
