Liens are placed on property as a result of judgments by creditors in an attempt to recover. When the restitution is made, the lien is removed.

In general, if you name is signed on the lease or title that awards property you have the say on who may come and go on your land, and despite popular belief, even if a person is related to you it doesn't give them legal access to enter or make decisions regarding your land.
