Forgery, like pregnancy, either is or isn't. There are many kinds of forgery, but in all cases it involves the falsification of something in order to deceive. Under Florida law, there are 31 different forgery and counterfeiting offenses. Forgery is considered a third degree felony. (Counterfeiting U.S. currency is a federal matter.)
