The Food and Drug Administration is a Federal agency that monitors food safety for food sold in retail environments. Bake sales are not subject to FDA regulations.

The FDA does not concern itself with bake sales. Health Department regulations prohibit you from opening your home as a bakery or restaurant, but you can have a bake sale.

The FDA laws may not apply to you if you're having a neighborhood bake sale, but if you plan to saell them commercially, you'll need to make sure your kitchen complies with FDA guidelines regarding commercial kitchens. You should also make sure the ingredients aren't expired and that all equipment complies with safety guidelines.

If this is a small, local sale that lasts only three days or so, then you won't need anything. However, if this is a business, then you get into the FDA. Also, if you sell at a business-like location such as a flea market, but if you're at school or such, no problem.
