The answer is complex, but the effects of globalization tend to come with a negative environmental impact because it means increased industrialization in countries where there was little before. It also puts a strain on world resources, such as rain forests, because more industry and economic activity reqires more raw resources like wood, coal, minnerals, and so forth.

It has led to exploitation of labor. The developed countries use cheap means to produce goods. The benefits of globalization is not balanced. The poor are becoming poorer while the rich becoming richer.
