What are the drawbacks of owning white couches?

White doesn't stay white. It usually starts to turn a lite yellow. You cannot smoke where the couch is. You need to make sure that it is cleaned often, especially in the winter months when the furnace is on. That why you see this type of furniture in the states with hotter temperature.

stains can be of an issue with a white couch, although some furniture stores do offer (for an additional price) stain guard. Also pet hair can be an issue.

Stains are obviously major drawbacks. Others are that your shirt may be see through (so don't wear any colored bra's) and see through pants (so don't wear any colored underwear). Also when washing, you must separate them from colors entirely.
