The most common disadvantage of a tongue piercing is that you have a chance of swallowing your stud, other disadvantages include having a hard time to eat when your piercing is just new, and of course the slight pain on your tongue. Also you have to brush your tongue more often than you should for hygienic purposes.

Tongue piercing could make you look easier in the way that you are more willing to perform oral sex. It can also get your mouth infected like if you got an ear infection. It could also chip your teeth and mess with your gum. Look up pictures of what it looks like on Google.

The major disadvantage of tongue piercing is that the studs can damage tooth enamel, leading to costly dental work. The stud can also make eating difficult.

Broken front teeth, ( from barbells), serious / sometimes fatal infections, blood loss, ( if the piercing hits a vein), neuralgia, ( severe facial nerve pain), nerve damage to the tongue, and use of unsterile instruments could lead to Hepatitis or HIV. Go to a reputable clinic .
