Wood, linoleum, and tile are your main choices. Wood provides a durable good looking surface, but due to the presence of water many go with linoleum or tile so spills are less of an issue. Tile tends to be a colder surface but heating systems can be installed that warm the floor.

There are many different types of flooring that are all very good for bathrooms and kitchens. The best for kitchens is a good Hardwood, such as Oak. the best for bathrooms i sa high-quality tile or slate.
