Most coughs are categorized into two types: dry or wet. A dry cough is the scratchy cough that rarely produces mucous, while a wet cough often produces mucous as well as a wet sound.

There are two different types of coughs, a dry cough and a chesty or productive cough. A Chesty or productive cough produces phlegm, where as a dry cough doesn't. A dry cough is more like when you get a "frog in your throat" type of cough.

Whoopingcough is a contageous disease caused among children by bacteria. The symptoms are, longcaughingfit, the caughing may be very hard makes the person to shake himself and the bloodvessels of the eyes may be breake due to effort of the caugh. Chronic caugh is the people with certain healthcondition tends to caugh involuntarily.
