There are several different sizes you can choose for your skateboard and it is all based on your personal taste. The length can be 29" to 33". The width can be anywhere from 7" to 9". Length should correspond with your height. Width should correspond with the size of your feet.

Appropriate skateboard sizes depend on your height. Here is a chart to follow: Under 4' = 29' or smaller 4' to 4'10' = 29' to 30' long 4'10' to 5'3' = 30.5' to 31.5' long 5'3' to 5'8' = 31.5' to 32' long 5'8' to 6'1' = 32' to 32.5' long Over 6'1' = 32.4' and up

They can really be any different size you need them to be, especially since you can make a deck yourself if you wanted. Generally though they range from about 28-33 inches long and about 10 inches wide.
