Diabetic retinopathy is classified into nonproliferative and proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Nonproliferative DR shows up as superficial retinal haemorrhages where as proliferative DR remain asymptomatic for a long period of time.
Diabetic retinopathy is the damage to retina caused by complications of diabetes mellitus. Ocular hemorrhage and blurred vision are clinical features. It is classified as proliferative and non-proliferative diebetic retinopathy.
