Fancy mice make wonderful pets for anyone over the age of seven. Fancy mice are very intelligent and can be trained with food to repeat tricks. They will also come to their name if repeated and 'bribed' with treats. They love to sit on shoulders and be held with care.

Fancy mice vary in size from 6-12inches and can weigh from 29-100g. Fancy mice also come in a variety of colors. Fancy mice make excellent pets, especially for an older child, and they do not often bite. They are inquisitive animals and enjoy scampering around your body and hiding in pockets etc. Many also enjoy being groomed and softly pet.

Fancy mice have shorter tails and more appealing colors or spots compared to regular mice. They generally behave like hamsters, so I guess they'd be good as pets.

It depends on what you're looking for in a pet. Mice can be cute, you can hold them and pet them and you can be sure that they'll like cheese.
