Other causes of frequent urination could include pregnancy, prostate problems, interstitial cystitis, the use of diuretics such as blood pressure medication, cancer of the bladder, or overactive bladder syndrome as well as a host of other issues. If this has been a life long thing it is probably not a true problem if it just started it could be serious.

Often times, frequent urination can be caused by the foods you eat. If you eat high levels of natural diurretics like lemon juice or tea, you may experience frequent urination.

Depending on your sex, there could be various causes. As a male, the most common cause would be an enlarged prostate. Frequent urination might also be a cause of overactive bladder for which there are many medications. As a female, pregnancy is a large cause of overactive bladder. In any case, you might see your doctor to find out.

Frequent urination is most often a symptom of a urinary tract infection, however, other causes can be overactive bladder syndrome, prostatitis in males, as well as loss of smooth muscle control in the bladder causing incontinence.
