Many things can cause a furry tongue such as fever, smoking, poor or lack of oral hygiene, antibiotis, dehydration and being a mouth breather.

Well the causes of a furry tongue or tongue with white coating is not eating properly and not getting enough nutrition in your system. You'll have to drink lots of water and avoid spices.

Are you a smoker? Smoking can cause a furry tongue. Have you been sick lately? Fever and antibiotics can cause furry tongues. Do you have good oral hygiene? Bad oral hygiene is a cause. Mouth breathers can get this. If you have gastrointestinal disease you can get a furry tongue.
