Make sure you budget enough time to really see the Louvre, perhaps the best art museum in the world, and certainly worthy of at least three full days. You might also consider several other nearby Parisian museums.

Obviously the best tourist attractions in France are in Paris. However, the Loire Valley is an incredible place to visit to see magnificent castles and great wineries. The best way to tour France is to visit Paris for approximately a week and then drive through the Loire Valley for approximately three days.
