What are the best tearjerker films?

Some of my personal favorites are 'My Girl', 'What Dreams May Come'. Some of my least favorites are films like 'Marley and Me', which I have heard referred to as "the worst doggie snuff film of the year". Some good ones that are little more family friendly are like 'The Lion King' or 'Casper'.

If you want classic tearjerker, check out Brian's song or Love Story. Later tearjerkers that stand out are Last of the Mohicans, Big, Titanic, Monster's Ball, Mystic River, Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Awakenings, Braveheart, Dances with Wolves, Kramer vs. Kramer, Cocoon, Steel Magnolias, Jacob's Ladder- there are so many good ones, but these have made me cry.

Terms of Endearment, My Girl, West Side Story, Old Yeller,and City of Angels with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage are the best tearjerker films.

For me the best tearjearker films are romantics. The Notebook, Titanic, 500 Days of Summer, Walk to Remember, My Girl, Brokeback Mountain, Nanny Diaries, Ghost, Keith, Million Dollar Baby and are to name a few great ones.
