This is obviously an opinion if you're asking what brand to use. But scientifically, the best type of rechargeable batteries are Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries. They have the shelf life of alkaline batteries, while still providing high and low drain performance for any device. They can be used with anything, from a TV remote to a digital camera.

There is a new type of rechargeable batteries: The hybrid Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH). They can hold their charge longer so you can use it on things like remote controls. However, they don't charge as quickly as the ones that are already out in the market. Some brand that have this battery available are: Eneloop and Hybrio.

Typically the best batteries aren't locked down to a specific brand, but rather a specific technology. The best rechargeable batteries would be Lithium Ion batteries. These have the longest life, shortest charge period and greatest longevity
