Spreadsheets make it so you can keep records by simply adding in a few fields and the rest takes those numbers an applies formulas that do the work for you.

Spreadsheets can save a person a great deal of time. The best thing is that you can set up formulas. Instead of adding and subtracting numbers in a calculator, you can set up a spreadsheet to do it automatically! This saves the time of manually typing in the calculated numbers.
