The average daily parking rate is betwen $25 and $30. This can vary greatly depending on the neigborhoods you are visiting and if there are other events that might raise the price. Parking at the airports can be pretty reasonable, parking along "The Magnificent Mile" will be noticably more. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

It seems to be pretty high. I'm not sure there is an average. Daily parking seems to run from $23. 00 per day up to $40. 00 a day. It varies widely depending on what area you are in. (Cubs game parking can be as high as $50. 00) Monthly parking runs about $150. 00. Street meters run from $1. 00 to $3. 50 per hour.

You can expect to pay about $14 for the first hour on up in a parking garage, and about $22 for extending parking. This, of course, depends on where you park and how long. If you are parking on the street you can expect to spend about $2 per hour downtown. Most metered areas stop at 2 hours.

The rare metered parking only lets you park in 2hour increments. Hotel parkinggarages: $40+/day! Cheapest: a huge lot underneath Grant Park. $20- $60 a day, depending on where you park.
