Secondly, the Intranet is a way to safely and securely share pertinent business information. The Intranet specifically caters to the internal needs of organizations and companies.

The Intranet is great for a company or a privately owned business. This allows the employees to search on the Intranet which is limited to whatever the company wants it to be. Using the Intranet instead of the Internet helps you to moniter where your employees can go online. They cannot search the Intranet for fun, it is work only.
