Sun pickles are dill pickles.place small cucumbers in jar with dill between them, fill jar with water. place dill on top, finish filling. seal jar set in sun each day . water will become couldy then clear. when clear again thier ready.kinda like sun tea takes longer.

Sun pickles are cucumbers that have been fermented in vinegar and spices and left to age in the sun. The process is similar to that of making sun tea where the heat from the sun cooks the ingredients until they reach edible consistency. This is an old technique used in pioneer times.
