Since you just began playing, you should definitely first go to the official World of Warcraf website to first get yourself oriented with the basic mechanics of the game. They also offer useful tips there. They also have a forum there where you can post all your questions regarding WOW.

1) To level up as fast as you can, do as many quests as you can to get XP and gold. 2) Decide on how you want to play your character, check websites to see how to build it 3) Get by with the minimal equipment until later.

Protect your boarders. Make sure the enemy doesn't have easy access into your space. Build towers, they can usually warn you faster then your men will. Also, produce miners so that your money and tree supply increase quickly...Enjoy!!!
