I saw a neat gift for a coach before. Someone bought a light-colored jacket and the whole team autographed it in permanent pen.

Make something personal. You can have shirts made with whatever you want on it, or bake a cake or some cookies. A cool thing to do would be to take your coach out to dinner at a nice restaurant or find out what bands he or she likes and get concert tickets.

Think beyond the soccer ball to other things your coach enjoys. Give him a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant, movie passes, a board game or a coupon book in which each team member pledges one thing, such as washing his car, bringing him breakfast one day, etc.
