A slice can be caused by an open club face. To square your clubface, rotate your left hand so that the V formed by your thumb and forefinger points toward your right shoulder. This will help square the clubface at impact.

The main thing is to hit the ball squarely with the club face of your driver at impact. If the club face is at an angle, slice will happen.
