I think the most important thing is to collect the shurikens. They are vital as you advance through the game. Vela can find them at Goldwood after going into the pyramid. Use the yellow key to get to an underground campfire...it also has health and ammo. Good luck!

When you can't get one of the gems that's really high up, if you shoot it just right, it will slide down to somewhere you can really easily get it.

I did some research and found some tips for Jet Force Gemini. Juno can walk on water, Vela can swim, and Lupus can hover. You can hold C up to perform a super jump. A way to save fuel in the jetpack (uses only half the fuel) is to push the C button down to hover in place.
